What counts as a CVC word here?
This tool uses a strict regular closed-syllable pattern with one onset consonant, one short vowel, and one coda consonant in three decodable positions.
Why are some English words rejected?
Digraphs, consonant blends, silent-e, long vowels, r-controlled vowels, irregular words, and unsupported characters fall outside the strict short-vowel CVC scope. The tool gives a specific reason.
Can I paste my own English word list?
Yes. The tool checks the list on the current page and only uses words that match the built-in 100-word catalog; words outside that catalog are not added to the deck. The raw list remains only in current page memory.
Do sound buttons print on the cards?
Only when enabled. Sound buttons and blend arrows appear on the printed cards and PDF, and can be turned off as the learner becomes more independent.
